Thrive Hive Counseling is a therapy practice in Campbell that works with teens, young adults, and the parents and caregivers who love them. Our office on Orchard City Drive is a short drive for families in Los Gatos, Saratoga and West San Jose, and we also offer secure telehealth anywhere in California.
Therapy with us isn’t about judgment, pressure, or telling anyone who they “should” be. It’s a real, caring space to talk openly, understand what’s going on, and build skills for everyday life, at a pace that feels okay.
This page has two parts: one for parents, about what you might be noticing at home, and one for teens and young adults, about what you might be feeling. Read whichever fits, or both.

For Parents and Caregivers: What You Might Be Noticing
Sometimes the first sign isn’t something your teen says. It’s something you notice. Many parents tell us their teen or young adult has started:
- Pulling back from family, friends, or activities they used to enjoy
- Not talking much, or answering everything with "I'm fine"
- Seeming more emotional, irritable, or quick to tear up
- Spending more time alone in their room
- Struggling with school, sleep, or motivation
None of these mean something is “wrong” with your child, and you don’t need to know the reason to reach out. Looking into therapy for your teen shows them they don’t have to struggle alone.
We work alongside families while protecting your teen’s confidentiality, so they can build trust with their therapist. And when you want help of your own, we offer support for parents to help you understand what your teen is going through and respond with steadiness.

For Teens and Young Adults: What You Might Be Feeling
Maybe you’re not sure what’s going on. You might just feel:
- Overwhelmed by school, work, or everything at once
- Drained, even when you've had enough sleep
- Alone, like no one really gets it
- Stuck pretending you're "fine" when you're not
- Unsure who you are or where you're headed
You don’t need a diagnosis or a clear reason to start therapy. Lots of people begin with “I just don’t feel like myself lately,” and that’s enough.
In therapy, you can talk openly about what’s going on, explore your identity and emotions, learn to express your needs and boundaries, and build coping skills that fit your real life.

How We Match Your Teen With a Therapist
Fit matters, especially for a teen who isn’t sure about therapy yet. You won’t have to guess which teen therapist to call. Our care team starts with a free consultation, learns what’s going on, and matches your teen or young adult with a therapist based on their needs, age and personality.
We know opening up isn’t easy for a lot of teens, especially ones used to saying they’re fine. That’s why teens and young adults in Campbell and across the South Bay work with therapists here who are:
- Warm, real, and relatable
- Judgment-free
- Identity-safe and LGBTQIA+ affirming
- Culturally sensitive
- Rooted in authentic connection
- Balanced with real-life tools and skills

Evidence-Based Treatments We Use
Our therapists draw from trusted approaches to support healing, clarity, and emotional wellbeing. Your therapist may integrate:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Helps you understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors so you can build healthier patterns and reduce distress.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Supports you in noticing unhelpful thoughts, staying grounded in the present, and making choices based on your personal values.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Teaches skills for emotion regulation, grounding, communication, and managing overwhelming moments more calmly.
Solution-Focused Therapy
Focuses on your strengths and past successes, helping you build on what already works through small, steady steps.
EMDR
A structured trauma therapy that helps the brain process painful memories in a safe, controlled way without needing to retell every detail.
Whole‑Person Care
We combine these approaches to fit your goals and your pace, with support that feels safe and responsive to your nervous system.
Group Therapy for Teens & Young Adults
Some teens and young adults find it easier to open up with peers who understand. Our therapist-led groups pair practical coping skills with real peer connection. We offer Teen DBT Skills for teens 13 to 18 and Young Adult DBT Skills for high school graduates up to age 24.
